Greetings 👋
Happy New Year’s! What a year 2023 was. Things were a bit quieter than previous years, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. We downsized the team, took on less clients, and transitioned the company from working on blockchain projects to what was more in-demand: Artificial Intelligence (AI). As a result, we saw an increase in interest for: AI training for marketing teams, AI for community management, and AI for improved content generation.
Since Faiā is all about community+tech, we’ve decided to break the company into seasons. This allows us to document the evolution of emerging tech we use with clients over time. In 2024, we’ll continue with Season 3, which is all about AI for communities.
To a prosperous new year,
George Siosi Samuels
Managing Director, Faiā

📈 2024 tech trends and predictions
Creators/influencers to downsize their teams. This comes as various YouTube influencers start announcing their departure from video or significant reduction in output.
ChatGPT to open up new revenue streams for builders, with its incoming GPT Store, just like the Apple Store did for mobile app developers.
AI influencers will start to replace human influencers. This may be significant, especially as brands seek more control and reduced costs. Instead of paying human influencers to be a brand ambassador, more brands may opt to create their own AI-driven personalities (and even artificial drama).
AI companies will start to offer more personalized AI’s. Right now, ChatGPT is all the rage. But as data control and copyright concerns amount, companies and individuals may seek to run more personalized AI’s on their ow machines, free from global control.
Twitter will become one of the first social media companies to allow native micropayments. Something Brian Roemmele, a prominent tech researcher and analyst, has been predicting for quite some time now.
🌍 How will these technology shifts impact communities?
Community-driven SEO will blow up. Why? Because even Google can’t keep up with the advancements in AI-driven content. They cannot provide 100% accuracy on what’s AI and what’s not anymore. Therefore, they’re starting to adjust its algorithms to seek out more community-driven sites like Reddit, LinkedIn, and even old-school forums. Genuine human interactions will start to be more favored.
Visual security checks won’t be enough to verify human authenticity. There’s a tweet going around showing how images can now be generated of humans, with a note, to “verify” they’re real. This blasts through current security measures that force users to take a picture of themselves to verify they’re real. As such, communities will need to implement alternative methods for verifying real human users.
AI-based text-to-app tools will enable communities to create faster, together. As a result, communities may be able to create their own apps together, without the need for expensive developers, saving on time and money.
